We’re Turning 4!

June 6th will mark our 4th year in business! From our little location in King Edward Park to the Zoo that is now located on Whyte Avenue. We have built so many memories in such a short time. Like a proud Mamma we remember all the young students that started their undergrads when we first opened and now they’ve graduated and most will go on to become the best law dogs, engineers, witch doctors the world has to offer. There is much to celebrate and this year the Pride Parade will be in our neck of the woods on the same day. So in true Barber Ha style, we will be co-hosting our party with the organizers of Fruitloop to bring you the Best Birthday/Post Pride Parade AfterParty ever! Jerks will be bbqing some jerk chicken out back, there will be Pregnant Barmaids serving the classiest of wine coolers and a whole lot of Karaoke!  All is welcome, we hope to see you there!4thAnniversary-Poster-web

The best thing to do this weekend is enjoy the arts

Summer is here and starting this weekend are two of Edmonton’s favorite art festivals, Improvaganza, and The Works.

Improvaganza is Canada’s largest improv festival, hosting improvisors from across Canada, North America and beyond. For ten days in the end June, the best comedy acts Rapid Fire Theatre can find come to town, and Theatresports matches, radio shows, workshops with amazing artists, and a ton of social events.

If the visual arts are more your style, The Works, Edmonton’s biggest arts festival, runs until the end of the month. With venues all over downtown hosting art constantly, there’s enough to fill anyone’s calendar. Check out the festival guide for more info.

Tattoos at Barber Ha

Friday will be a bit of a departure from the regular chaos at Barber Ha as we open the door to Spencer Evans (of Strange City Tattoo) as a guest Tattoo artist. Evans has been hard at work over the last couple weeks, designing some pretty spectacular body art for the day.

If you have been considering getting yourself something different for the holidays, why not go all-out?

The flash tattoos are $90 a pop and we have openings for about 8 people. Evans will be here from noon until close on Friday, banging out these beauties on anyone that will have them.

If you want one, you can try showing up on the day, but we recommend you call us to make an appointment as slots are limited.

Call the shop: 780- 756-9311 and we’ll get you on your way to a new year— complete with a newly modified bod.
